Lunch with Liz

Today we met up with our pal Liz at the Stables Bar - dog friendly of course. And when I say dog friendly - it was positively heaving with dogs! Archie was lying nicely under the table, minding his own business, when two dogs (and their owners!) squashed in at the next table. One dog was a big puppy black lab, and he was desperate to say hello to Archie. There was nothing we could do, but let them. And the big daft lab loved Archie - he licked and licked and licked his wee face and ears the whole time we were there.

After lunch we had a walk around the grounds. Archie had great fun. There were muddy puddles to splash in, holes to stick his clean muzzle in, and long grass to bound around in like a mad thing. Liz wanted a photo with him, but he really did not look his best, and he was NOT going to sit up on her knee with those muddy feet, but we came across these wee seats.

We popped into the Pet Shop to get Archie a new bed. He doesn't really need the crate now - though we will keep it for holidays - and he can't stretch his legs right out in his favourite froggy postion in it. So we got just a mattress thing. He's eyeing it suspiciously as we speak.

But no - he hasn't got over his car sickness. But I've got it sussed. He was down at my feet, and I could feel him retching. Quick as a flash, I got my already prepared poo bag and shoved his face in it. Result - No mess!
