Waddesdon Manor

Went to the tip 1st thing, came home & decided that we should go to Waddesdon Manor for a couple of hours, which we did..

"Waddesdon Manor is a country house in the village of Waddesdon, in Buckinghamshire. The house was built in the Neo-Renaissance style of a French château between 1874 and 1889 for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild "

The Manor is National Trust and is located less than 20minutes drive from where we live. Having left school at 16 I worked here as a Warden which entailed "watching a room" to make sure no-one touched anything or for that matter pinched anything !

We didn't go inside today but it is stacked to the gunnels which art treasures from all over the world though mainly France, there are clocks everywhere aswell as priceless pieces of pottery & china.

Very muggy day but no rain yet.
