The Stone Avenue

Wonderful day with my sister, Alison, visiting for the weekend.

Had an acupuncture appointment in the morning, then lunch together and a walk around Avebury. The World Heritage Site was busier than I had ever seen it with coachloads of tourists photographing the village and peering at the stones with curious puzzled expressions.

But five minutes away from the circles, we had the countryside to ourselves. This is Alison striding ahead down The Stone Aveue.
