Thunderbolt and Lightning

So what's the connection between image and title? Well it's like this ..... I've been trying to use up food in the cupboards and freezer. Last night we agreed that we would have Chinese take-away tonight. So since we would both be home around 'tea-time' one of us would go out for the Chinese - we don't get deliveries to here. I started to drool at the thought of Chinese mid-morning - I was so looking forward to it. Well mid-afternoon the sky darkened. Then the rain came. Then the thunderstorm started. Then the lightning joined in. The rain became monsoon like. Well who was going to go out in that!

So a tin of soup followed by a rummage in the darkest recesses of the cupboards where behind the cereal I found this pasta thing that just needed water added. Relief that it was actually in date. It was fine. Chinese postponed for another evening. Meantime ..... it's still raining. Big shop tomorrow.
