Friday: Matthew

Matthew is walking across Europe and has so far walked 10,000
miles and has about 6,000 more to go.  His aim is to walk to every EU country to raise awareness regarding the sexual abuse of children and to fight against the statue of limitations that exists in a lot of countries.

His story is that he and his three brothers were all abused by an uncle who is now in prison for his crimes.  Matthew is quite open about this so I am not telling you anything out of turn.  Because of his experiences, he decided that he needed to do something so he has been walking since 2013 and you can follow his adventures here.

A couple of days ago he reached Zagreb and this morning I went to a clinic for abused children with him.  He is a great young man and it has been great to spend time in his company.  Here he is being interviewed about his walk.
