Royal Academy

Had a really lovely day with my Mum. We'd planned to leave the house by 11:30am, and we actually went out the door at 11:35. For us, that is practically the same as being early - and pretty much unheard of ;)

I wheeled my Mum right the way across the heath, through Greenwich Park and down to the river, and we caught the boat into London. Got off at Embankment Pier and walked/wheeled up to Picadilly, to go to the Royal Academy summer exhibition. Spent a couple of hours there - so much to see! - then walked back over to Charing Cross station to catch the train home.

We'd been half planning to go back to Greenwich Park in the evening to see the jazz at the Pavilion there, but once we'd sat down at home for a while we really couldn't be bothered going out again - so when Tim got home we cooked up a big chicken curry for dinner and had a nice relaxed evening at home.
