The Morning After

Every morning is the morning after. Every morning some one some where is waking up for the first time in a long time alone. Somewhere nearby someone is waking up for the first time next to a new lover. Some one some where is waking up ashamed of what happened yesterday, swearing it will never happen again. Nearby, some one is waking up exhilarated about what happened yesterday, convinced it CAN happen again. Some one some where is waking up prepared to face what happened yesterday. Nearby someone is wishing they wouldn?t wake up because they cant face what happened yesterday. Some one some where is waking to a silent house. Nearby someone is waking to a baby crying. Every morning is the morning after. All any of us can do is work all day to make the next morning worth it.
