star

Our star, the Sun, is a G-type main-sequence star (G2V) based on spectral class & it is informally designated as a yellow dwarf because its visible radiation is most intense in the yellow-green portion of the spectrum, & although it is actually white in colour, from the surface of the Earth it may appear yellow because of atmospheric scattering of blue light.

"... Here comes the sun,
here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Little darling,
the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling,
it seems like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun,
here comes the sun
And I say it's all right ..."

'Here comes the sun' :: George Harrison 1969
