Uluwatu Temple

We thought we should squeeze a bit of culture into our days of sunbathing, so suitably dressed in purple robes, we visited Uluwatu Temple. More remarkable than the temple itself is its location, perched on a steep cliff 70 metres above the roaring Indian ocean waves. The temple was home to hundreds of thieving monkeys. After several guards told Henry to take his glasses off, or otherwise the monkeys will have them, Henry opted for the next best thing and acquired a stick from the guard to fend them off!
