This is a detail of the large frieze that goes around the central atrium of the Portrait Gallery on Queen Street.
I popped in the way home from a meeting with a recruitment agency, and discovered an excellent exhibition of portraits by John Byrne - self portraits mostly but a couple of great portraits of Billy Connolly and some of Tilda Swinton,
