Sunset by The Old Dynamite Store, Kaituna

I've shot in this location before, it's one of my favourites too. This old building was used to store dynamite for the quarry that used to be out on the point on the shore of Lake Ellesmere. The quarry may be long gone, but there are a few old parts of machinery lurking in amongst the long grass.

It's been a cold day out on the Peninsula, and I'm really glad I had the gloves, hat and neck buff handy when standing out by the lake taking this shot. The moon was already high in the sky too as I walked back to the Kaituna car park, so there was no need for a head torch.
