Macaron

A trip to Ladurée is always a big treat! Some people argue that Ladurée's macaroons are not the best in Paris... Perhaps: I have not tried any others yet. But I like the experience of going there (my snobbish side in me peeking out occasionally): drinking out of vintage slightly battered silver teapots, the old painted ceilings, the wood panels, the mirrors reflecting each other endlessly, etc. It feels like home turf! The one I usually go to is located Rue Royale near the Madeleine church and the staff is also very helpful and discreet. So the picture depicts a piece of pistachio macaroon.
