Welcome song
We went back to La Jimaye to collect Megan's mobile which she left there on Tuesday. Then we took off cross country to Perigueux for a bit of medieval culture.
Tonight we all headed into Verteillac for a producer's fair. They set up trestle tables on the square and sell food & wine around the edges - with the obligatory queues.
There was music too, of course, but the solo French artist was eclipsed by a 3-piece ex-pat blues band called the Soggy Dog Ends. Woody on the washboard percussion was a particular high-point for me. Only surpassed, later, back at the house, when Stuart performed a delayed, but extended, welcome song. As tradition demands.
