Opening of Art Exhibition at TaideKellari

Here we are preparing the array of cocktail snacks for the guests to enjoy.

The opening was a big success - almost all of the people that I had invited managed to make it to the event - only my mother, sister and cousin missing.

I also met an old friend, Hilkka L again from ten years back! It was amazing to see that even if her black hair had turned all white, she was still the same sparkling friend I knew way back.

Our art teacher, Tatsuo Hoshaka, had also arrived and said a few nice words to us plus played his flute and in the end gave small origami paper cranes, symbols of peace to each of us artists.

Unfortunately we had to run for our annual Kaj Chydenius song concert in the Main Square tent in Tampere. This year it was all about Aulikki Oksanen lyrics to Chydenius' songs - such great poems that really make you think or feel or both at the same time.

After that we met our Saku friends at cafe Kivi and went for a bite to eat at the Grill with Kirsi.
