Time to go

Time to go. After loving my little holiday it was all over too quickly and we had to go home to reality. We struck camp a lot easier than we put it up. This time no heavy rain and the poles were a damn sight easier to unclip than to clip in. We left the campsite all clean and tidy just like we had never been there.
Back home I had time for a quick shower and change out of the wood smokey clothes before I had to go to hospital.

After nearly 2 years of having my IV portacath embedded in my arm to deliver medicine directly to my heart, I don't need it anymore now all my treatments are over. I had it taken out by the same lovely surgeon that operated to put it in. In less than an hour later it was all done and sewn back up. Just got to wait for it to heal.

I felt quite emotional getting rid of it as it has been a safety net because of my rubbishy veins and although I know I shouldn't need it again the niggles of doubt, is the cancer really gone are still there....
