Up, Up and Away...

Wow.

What a morning.

Definitely cannot think of a better 'morning'.

Up at 4am (yuck), a shower, some cereals, and a cup of coffee. Then into the taxi.

A 10 minute walk to the 'boarding area', then a short wait before we were escorted to our balloon.

With so many balloons going up on the mass ascent, it was an interesting launch; with our balloon bouncing off an adjoining one.

But in a few seconds we were clear, and wow. I think it was about 6.20am, but quite frankly I wasn't looking at my watch.

It felt really quick, but looking at the EXIF data, it was closer to 40 minutes.

I've really struggled to whittle 400 + photo's down onto my facebook page; and even more to get it down to one for here.

If you want to look at some more then the facebook gallery should be public.

I could have done without the big lens on the camera, but it was either that or the 50mm fixed focal one.

If anyone is ever thinking about taking a balloon trip; then quite simply stop thinking, and start doing.

Also a big thank you to my wife for the birthday present, and for Bailey Balloons for taking us up.
