Burnt

A few spots of rain greeted the day but soon disappeared as the sun broke through.
Whilst everyone else slept Clare, Mark and I enjoyed a leisurely coffee at the campsite snack bar.
After breakfast we set off for a coffee and cake in McDonalds, not for the food but to give everyone thirty minutes free WiFi, then on to Mimizan Plage, the beach. Glorious sunshine and warm water made for a great afternoon/early evening, swimming, surfing and sunbathing. We came off the beach, stowed the surfboards and looked for a restaurant, having settled on one that catered for everyone I enjoyed a really good seafood paella accompanied by a couple of beers.
Returning to the campsite for a shower to cool down, the liberal application of after sun and a few more beers brought the end of our first week to a close.
