Loch Nam Paitean

Kinlochmoidart - day 6

We had a picnic at one of the beaches at Ardtoe today. It was raining rather horribly, but then the rain stopped and the sun came out just at the right time for us to sit down and eat our sandwiches!

Once we got back to the house, Amanda and I set off for a walk up the mountain to Loch Nam Paitean. We walked up the old path, around the loch to the right, and down the new track which was built for access to a new dam. The new track is ridiculously steep, and rather frightening to walk down!

We made it back in time for our Grandparents' golden wedding anniversary celebratory meal. Delicious venison stew and good conversations were a good way to celebrate such an occasion.
