Space Planning

I marvel at small places designed really well. By looking at this photo, this hotel room looks like a stark tiny box. Small is the operative word, but it is so well designed that it is much more comfortable than many places that are much larger. Opposite the foot of the bed is a sofa that is built in and runs the full length of the wall making it an easy place to stretch out and watch TV (flat screen attached to wall that can swing around). in front of the sofa is a desk that is scaled appropriately and becomes another comfortable place to sit. Bathroom is tiny but designed to feel and function like a much larger space.

I have great respect for talented people that can take a small blank space and their creative vision to not only make it work but make it feel like an oasis.
