Light of Remembrance

This column of white light reaches high above the London skyline and has been switched on to mark 100 years since Britain entered World War One.

The installation, called Spectra, by Japanese artist Ryoji Ikeda, will shine from dusk to dawn until Monday and this is the view of the light from our home in East London.
