The annual Gala fancy dress competition. The last minute assembly of a cowgirl costume for Ellen had no chance against the months of preparation that had gone into the two brothers - one dressed as Scotland, the other dressed as the rest of the United Kingdom (complete with Northern Ireland on his right hand). Still, free ice cream. Ewan's officially too old for that sort of thing.

Muggins made the mistake of taking the Canon so got roped in to take photos of everyone. For reasons of card capacity and speed, I decided to switch from RAW to jpg but forgot that whereas RAW previews in B&W but delivers colour, jpg actually shoots in the same B&W as the preview is set for. Oops. All their colourful costumes in shades of grey. Suits me but you know what parents are like.
