End of the Day in the Life of SSI
I signed up again to shoot a Day in the Life of Salt Spring Island - 24 hours of shooting from 5 am June 25th to 5 am June the 26th. This is my third year but unfortunately I was exhausted and only got four sets of shots.
This one was of the Roofers who had been re-roofing ArtSpring. Today was very hot and they had been working all day in the hot sun so after 5 they quite for the day and just collapsed in a heap in the best shade they could find.
I purposely left them in deep shade for two reasons - one - shade was an important element in the shot and - two - I didn't want them to be eminently recognizable.
