Messing about by the river

Today was a gorgeous one and, in anticipation of the deluge forecast for tomorrow, I took a spur of the moment jaunt to Knaresborough. I used to go all the time with the folks - they lived out that way and dad in particular loved to walk along the river.

I hadn't been down there since, so it was quite a nostalgic little jaunt. June would usually decree that we stop for coffee somewhere along the route but, given the lovely weather, I forwent coffee for ice cream (a two scoop tub - salted caramel and something with jam, if you're interested).

I always forget though, once you've walked down to the river, you've then got to walk back up!
