The Veterinary Student hasn't been feeling well since she came back from the Elephant Compound in India.

But on Thursday last she became very unwell so the GP ran various tests on her. One of the tests came back positive for a chronic gastro-intestinal bacteria and he advised immediate admission to Emergency Dept of local hospital. Its a very rare illness here and the Notifiable Diseases Office of the Health Service Executive had to be informed. So basically all hell broke loose.

She is now in hospital in isolation under observation. The danger with this bacteria is that it can adversely effect your kidneys badly.

So I hope you all enjoyed the medical-style edge to my last 3 blips. I spent so much time since Thursday in hospital waiting around that I am zombie like myself today.

The good news is that the VS seems to be improving.
