Saying goodbye
A day of mixed blessings today. The sad part first. Had lunch with Sharise, who was one of the first people I met in Prague. to say ' au revoir' . She is heading off to enjoy new adventures and explore her home country, the US. I am hoping that we'll meet up again before too many years pass - either in the US or Australia. Or somewhere else. We'll definitely be meeting up in Facebook land.
The occasion of lunch was a chance to try a restaurant near my place. One of my students has been telling me how great it is, but I've not really found an occasion to eat out until now. So we had lunch at Kido Bistro. Love Kido. The onion soup was delicious, and the melon and mint homemade 'lemonade' was tasty. I followed this with an excellent cup of coffee and a small scoop of pistachio icecream. The deep pistachio flavour was perfect - not too sweet. I understand now why Marcel likes the place. At the back of the bistro is a delightful garden - seen here with Sharise.
Now I've blipped (and before the 8 pm reminder) it's back to MOOC study. Learning How to Learn and Learning to Teach Online with Coursera. And if I get time I'll dip into the non-work related The Camera Never Lies. I love MOOCs.
Until my next blip :)
