The secret herb garden

Everyone has been a bit out of sorts today. Everyone a bit put out by the heavy rain, that arrived as forecast, as we'd enjoyed being outside so much yesterday. In the end A took C n D for a walk in the pouring rain with one wearing wellies too small and one wearing wellies that had split. So I went to Straiton to get them new wellies and collect C's school trousers. We then all went to The Secret Herb Garden for cake. It's a lovely wee place, especially loved sitting on a sofa in the middle of a glasshouse surrounded by peach and fig trees as well as herbs. C was very quickly settled in with a Rupert Annual while I played quoits with D and A had a sneaky snooze on another sofa.
