Happy Belated Birthday to yoooooou

Got up, got showered, got dressed, made a cup of tea, listened to the Archers ( poor Hayley ). Went to Sainsburys with André ( he paid : ). ) . Bought a selection of over the top looking cakes and green vegetables. Came home, we both cleaned the house, got soaked in the garden by Bertha.

Andrés brother Alexi came over with Val ( mother in law ) , Erica ( Alexis girlfriend/ life partner/ bird), Susan ( Erica's mother, who I have never met before).

I made lots of cups of tea, the cakes were very dry and the vile buttercream topping very sickly. I only had a bite ( I'm a savoury girl). Everyone had a good go at them though.

Alexi loved his birthday present, a proper man drill with lots of accessories. He's not putting up any shelves here.

The visitors left, André fell asleep on the sofa for a while, when he woke he ate the remainder of the horrid cakes, I don't think he even bothered to chew. He feels sick now and says he's unable to eat the lovely dinner I'm making.

Now I'm going to have a good look at the 2 books I bought from Amy Butler at The Festival of Quilts yesterday.
