Boys and their toys

Today was East Kilbride Kittoch's annual charity car rally. We set off at 11 am from the Museum of Country Life in East Kilbride - after sampling a coffee and the most delicious home-made scones in the museum's cafeteria.

Luckily it was a lovely sunny day as many of the cars had their roof down. The drive was around 62 miles through Carmunock, Thorntonhall, Eaglesham and many small villages in Ayrshire before stopping for lunch at the Black Bull in Straiton.

A further 60 odd miles took us through Galloway Forest Park and down the side of Loch Ken, which was stunning in the sunshine, finally arriving at the Urr Valley Hotel near to Castle Douglas around 4.30 pm. Lovely day out to raise money for a good cause - Yorkhill Children's Charity.
