Is it safe to come out?

This is sunflower number three in the garden and I noticed this morning that it was beginning to bloom. The rain came on this afternoon and I think the wee flower changed his mind about coming out. I went out in the pouring rain jus after lunch to take this and it is still raining yet, it hasn't let up at all. I hope that if the sun ever comes out again, I will have a lovely display as there seems to be dozens of heads ready to bloom.
