I always wanted some roses in the garden so a couple of months ago when we visited a garden centre Meg helped choose which ones to buy. We wanted a very high perfumed variety as I have a lovely memory from being a child myself in my grandma's garden, I used to make perfume from collecting petals and soaking them in water, ah. We ended up with one apricot colour and a raspberry shade too.
2 months on... I am pleased to say that both bushes have produced a plentiful display of the most gorgeous looking & smelling blooms, counting at least 12 or 13 - all of which are apricot. Well, you can't have everything can you ! This little one was snapped off in the wind.
A very lazy day watching tv followed by an even slower evening watching more tv - the rain has been very welcomed on the freshly mown lawn which I managed yesterday.
