Sunflower

While we were away, my lovely friend Judah and her family stayed at our house because they needed a place to stay before they could move into their new home. They left us these beautiful sunflowers.

Today was my last Sunday at my home church before I move through to Glasgow on Saturday. It was fun to play bass with our wonderful worship team for the last time for a while, and the elders prayed me out; including some rather amusing comments about my "quiet stubbornness"! I am leaving a wonderful congregation at a time of great renewal.

In the afternoon, we celebrated Judah and Luke's engagement with lots of coffee and cake! They formed half of my youth group for the last couple of years I was leading it, and I'm very excited for them. So many friends are getting engaged or married at the moment, it's rather lovely.
