I worked between 5 and 6 hours solo today on a busy day, which at my job means I was coordinating/helping 5-10 people (volunteers, retail customers, members working on their bikes) pretty much constantly, and taking a few phone calls as well. All this by my own (poor) design, I might add - I suggested to Jim (my one co-worker) that he take the first half of the day off because he had a long weekend with an event we worked (mostly he worked it, and I worked at the shop, but I took Sunday off).
Anyway, when he arrived I took a break, called Laura and talked to her, then took a few pictures. This rusty riverwall was the best.
These abstracts make me feel funny. I enjoy taking them, enjoy processing them, and enjoy looking at the pictures, but somehow it makes me feel empty. I think there is a little photojournalist and a little art-wank in me, and they both have to be happy: paint chips upset the PJ. I have a feeling if I shot some baseball games or crime scenes I might feel a bit uneasy as well.
