We finally made real concrete plans for our holiday, which starts on Friday. They were the kind of plans that mean you can't change your mind. It is very exciting and a little daunting, frankly.

Ask me about it again in 2 weeks when we should be safely ensconced in our holiday cottage in the middle of nowhere!

(When we booked the holiday cottage, we had to make a kind of application and then the owners had 24 hours to decide whether or not they wanted us. It was utterly thrilling. Happily, we got a quick reply and there were hugs all round; but for that two and a half minutes, the tension was positively palpable!)
