Yearbook 1943

As you have mentioned, I bought the book where the photo was found. The book is a yearbook for The Swedish Government Institute for Handicrafts. The year is 1943 and the Second World War is not ended. The first topic in the book has the title; Handicraft and peace crisis.

There are articles in a wide variation of different professionals. The subject can be about textile industry as well as welding processes.

The institute is a research institute for handicrafts and small industries. They arrange a large amount of courses, both practical and theoretical and offer many textbooks for craftsmen in different branches, such as florists and bakers.

Back to the wedding photo. The photo may have been taken during one of the last years of the war. If so, the woman must be in her 80ies, if she still is alive.

By the way it was no roses in the bouquet, it was carnations - still do not know the colors.
