Old school

A day of feeling like we live here, rather than yesterday's tourism. Had a lovely pootle round our regular farmer's market admiring purple peppers and every shape of aubergine you can imagine and tasting pounds of melons, peaches and pluots!
Then over to some friends for lunch - an ex-colleague who came over here 15 years ago and now has 3 children and a dog but still sounds and looks exactly as she always did. We had a good catch up and chat, then went shopping for K to get unusual fabrics for her various art projects and were pretty successful.
Home and made a big dinner for M&H, T and A and we all sat out on the patio chatting and eating. Like the old days, lovely.
One of T's friends came round and told us about all her very old school musical heroes (The Eagles, Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin-she's 16!!) then got a guitar out and sang to us. It was very dark, but a nice moment even if the photo's not great.
We're hoping for stars and meteor showers tonight at last.....it's clear!
