Ooops he did it again!

It is not even a year since the last time Hero was sedated and had a damaged nail removed.

But oops, he did it again!

I noticed yesterday evening, that he was licking his paw in a very obsessive manner, so I had a look at it and the dewclaw on left leg looked raw and bloody. I put a bandage on it and rang the vet today.

The claw had to be cut down to the toe and the wound had to be burned to stop the bleeding and avoid any infection from the wound to spread to the bone.

Sigh! 2nd big vet bills in about 1 week!

Hero is now fast asleep. He will probably not recover fully from the sedation until tomorrow. Awwww little man.
