The Bavarian Summer House

Walked round the castle gardens and went into the Bavarian Summer House one of four built for Marie of Baden to stop her being homesick. The outside is constructed of blackened entwined sticks but the interior is amazing. Apart from where the windows cut in the walls and ceilings are all decorated with intricate designs constructed from a variety of different species of pine cones. This is the ceiling. We sat on the bench which circles around the inside just gazing.
