The lone fisherman

As I spent time on the beach in California, I witnessed many people fishing--usually fishing in groups of three of four. There was usually loud, playful conversation going on. I encountered this lone fisherman and he caught my eye. For so many others fishing was a social activity. Not for this guy. He sat quietly and alone all during my walk along the beach.
