Frozen tundra

My boyfriend Leonard on an inlet of the Churchill river. Leonard is looking at how deep the ice runs, as Jake (the dog) is exploring nearby.

We had driven our truck onto the ice looking for ptarmigan (an arctic bird). It was a beautiful sunny -20C day. Unfortunately, no wildlife sightings, but the ice and crispness of the day was lovely. A good day to play hooky ;)
