9th birthday

What a fantastic day, happy 9th birthday Matthew. Pain au chocolat in bed, a shot at driving the Landrover in the forest, an aquarium from Granny and Grandad (who just arrived yesterday), langoustines for lunch and then the party started. Thanks to everyone for the amazing and thoughtful presents.
The team of 12 Treasure Hunters chased clues from the trampoline to the freezer, in the river, on the goat and finished by swinging across the river and digging for treasure in the quarry. Then back for the Blue Spotted Ribbontail Ray coffee and walnut swiss roll, hmm.
30 folk for the evening bbq including Denis and Adeline who came up from the coast, great to stay up late with them and the box of red wine.
Good times. We love Matthew’s summer mayhem, it gets more fabulous every year.
