A new view

This view is towards Kinder Scout and a couple of my favourite hills Mount Famine and South Head but from a new angle.

The photo is taken from the top of a hill called Eccles Pike which is just south of the A6 trunk road between Chapel-en-le-frith and Whaley Bridge.

I have not been up this hill since I was a lad - not sure why but perhaps its because there are so many attractive and or interesting places to see before getting there. Today it was especially worth it as there were heavy rain showers at home and travelling little more than 10 miles meant no rain and dry ground.

The hill has Topograph to help identify the points of interest from the all round views.

This is the view north to Cracken Edge
