Cloistered in a Convent

Drove up into the hills of Monchique today to meet up with friends who are holidaying in the Algarve. Walked up to this abandoned convent, where those pictured here (and me with my broken toe) stayed in the cool and put the world to rights, while the others carried on up to the top.

Had such a good, relaxed time together, including a huge picnic and doing our own "church" in the shady main square in Caldas de Monchique.
