Magna
We were planning to go to diggerland this morning with cheap tickets but it was a bit wet and we bailed! Instead, over to Sheffield to the Magna Science Centre. Wasn't too sure about it at first. It is very dark, quite eery and noisy in there and both kids were really nervous climbing the stairs and on the metal walkways...then we found the interactive areas; Air, Fire, Water and Earth and gradually they warmed up and joined in. First stop fire for the tornado, thunder and lightening and playing with electricity and heat, then to water where they both really enjoyed splashing about, moving water uphill and squirting things. The Air section was in a big balloon, instruments to play, wind machines and suspension bridges. Finally earth with diggers, rock blasters, mini wheelbarrows and sand pits. A success I think. Best of all, the children were free entry and you pay once and get an annual pass for free, so less than £20 and we can go back whenever we like in the next year.
Next stop Joe and Sarah's so that the children could try on their wedding outfits. Oh so cute! Very excited about the big day now. Less than 2 weeks til we fly to Greece :)
