Sunrise through the lattice

There is nothing like sunlight in winter after a series of gray days. Seeing the sunrise through the lattice outside my back door was a bright start to the day and stopped me for a pause of appreciation in my mad rush to get ready for work.

Got through work without any major disasters and enjoyed many warm little conversations with my colleagues.

Me and the person who sits beside me discovered that we share great skills at cooking, shopping, sewing, reading and having fun with our friends and family. Not a great recipe for career success, but a great basis for work friendship!

Another person who I really don't know very well bought me chocolates for no particular reason. It was a sincere gift and I was so touched.

The generosity and sensitivity of others always makes me feel humble and grateful and at a loss for words.
