Full Colour

The coloured version today. I feel so sorry for birds out in the sort of weather we've had today. This guy (or one of his mates) was about for much of the day today. When the rain/sleet got really nasty he'd duck off to the cover of the pine trees over the back, but as soon as it cleared a little he'd be back feeding on the nectar again.

If you look closely you'll be able to see the raindrops on his back. Tuis fascinate me because in most lights they look pure black and then on a different angle you see all the shades of blue and green. I was aiming up close today, going for the textures of the different feathers.
