Happy holidays!

Last full day of the holiday. We started with a manicure and pedicure, then some light pootling round Los Gatos before heading to Santa Cruz (we'd decided it was too far to go back to Napa for the day). Had a bit of a fight with the sat nav on the way and twice got waylaid in Redwood forests so it took us much longer than we expected, but arrived in the end and we had another lovely lunch at Aldo's sitting in blazing sun as we thought about going back to the rainy UK. Only today that I've really started thinking about returning, and not looking forward to a full on landing back at work with jet lag in tow!
Decided to go and lie on the beach for a chat and general bit of relaxation. Lovely. Why can't the rest of the coast be cloudless and beautiful like this?!
Much quicker trip home than on the way there, and stopped to pick up desserts for the evening's Mexican BBQ with the family, hearing about L's trip to Iceland riding 100 miles in 4 days! Very relaxed and convivial evening, and delicious food. Has been a lovely trip and will be sorry to leave.
Popped round to M&H's to hear latest on their search for a new flat.
Sad to say goodbye, but I guess all good things have to come to an end :(
