An unexpected surprise!

Back from Elie ... raining there and raining here but a little, or large, drop of rain didn't keep me in this morning. Rain does me no harm but I don't think the camera particularly enjoys it! I was concentrating on the ducks when suddenly I spotted my old friends, the lapwings. Not easy to get close to them .... they are far more alert than the mallards who just open one eye, stare at me and then go back to sleep.
I'm not sure if the lapwings are back for the season or if this is just a fleeting visit.
