August challenge; texture. The Buffalo Hunt

This is a detail from a piece of artwork by an American artist named Kuka King. I was fortunate enough to visit South Dakota about 20 years ago and bought this as a momento.

Kuka King grew up on the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana. He developed a unique technique of embossed lithographs called Kuka-graphs; what I like about this one how the spirit of the Buffalo is depicted through texture rather than colour.
