I've seen birds of prey flying around high in the air- but not close up enough to really see the detail on them like the common garden birds, and it is a rare sighting for me to see them in the garden, only on a couple of occasions have I seen one - even then it was barely a matter of seconds.

So after a shower of rain had passed I was very surprised looking through the window to see one on the lawn - but only had a partial view of it. Thankfully I had my camera on me (I've learned too have it with me!), quickly took a photo, when I looked next it had gone.
