Impromptu day out
We arranged to meet with nana at soft play this morning. She is usually busy on a Tuesday so it was nice to see her. P had a great time as always and we had a nice cuppa.
Nana then suggested lunch at a little tea shop that she and pops often frequent ,that's a bit further down the road. I've never been before but liked the sound of it.
Once there is was like stepping back in time. It had a very vintage feel about it and felt like I had stepped back into the 1950's. I loved it. It was cosy and quaint with a very delicious array of homemade cakes! We had some lunch and then decided to have a little explore the town too. P loved the 3 sided bridge and kept going up and down and under it over and over again. We also had a look around the Abbey. One half is completely in ruins and the other half is still fully functioning! Very odd.
I love totally unplanned, random days that end up being the most the fun.
